Group Photo In 2004, Hallie Denburg Satz, formerly President of Barton Press, brought together a group of printing professionals and craftspeople, invested in state-of-the-art equipment, and founded HighRoad Press, on Spring Street in SoHo. Eric Tepfer soon joined HighRoad Press as a principle of the company.


As other printers were moving out of New York City, HighRoad moved in, specifically seeking to provide the local design and advertising community fine commercial printing with environmentally responsible practice, manufacturing on site and pricing to compete with out-of-town suppliers.


Five years later, HighRoad has built a solid base of customers and expanded its product range, always learning from our clients what they want and need, and hosing our processes, service and delivery to suit.

Each incoming job is assigned to a project team, typically composed of a sales person, who supervises the entirety of the job; a production person, who plans and oversees the prep and manufacturing; a prepress technician and a lead pressman. Essential supports are applied by administration, estimating, plate and pressroom staff, bindery staff and quality control. Team members work to a common purpose: the integrity and success of every job and the client’s satisfaction with the quality, schedule and value of the work.

When the project calls for outside services or manufacturing, we call on a carefully-selected group of specially firms -- beast in the industry and attuned to our work follow and standards.

Staff and management participate in a voluntary work program at the NYC Reuse Mission, serving meals to homeless and needy individuals.


We regularly conduct educational print seminars for local schools and university design programs.
